Taylor Swift has kept her promise of donating to organisations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.
Swift made the promise after winning the trial against the DJ who allegedly groped her. In a statement after the win Swift thanked the judge and also said she would be donating to organisations that help sexual assault victims defend themselves.
Now reports indicate that the 27-year-old singer donated a hefty amount to her friend Mariska Hargitay’s Joyful Heart Foundation, which focuses on the healing process of victims of child abuse, domestic violence, and sexual assault.
Although the exact amount that the singer-songwriter has donated is unknown, Maile M. Zambuto, CEO of the Joyful Heart Foundation, said it was an “extremely generous financial investment in the movement to end sexual violence.”
